Austin, Texas (January 5, 2011)– QuantumDigital, the turnkey provider for measurable direct mail, on-demand digital printing and email marketing, today issued a call for speakers for its annual Marketing Innovation and Discovery Summit, covering the latest technologies and communication strategies expected to impact agencies and their clients. The summit is scheduled to be held at the QuantumDigital offices in Austin, Texas on April 19 – 20.

The summit unites advertising and marketing agencies’ most respected experts to address the latest trends, strategies and profit opportunities. Ten conference sessions are planned for the 2011 Summit to benefit the more than 80 expected attendees. Top advertising and marketing agency executives are invited to submit proposals to share client case studies and the latest trends and best practices shaping successful campaigns and the marketing landscape for 2011.

Jeff Swystun, DDB Worldwide’s Chief Communications Officer, is confirmed to deliver a keynote address on the myths of integrated marketing. In his address, Swystun will debunk the myth that integrated campaigns are those that include all available mediums, but rather that the tactics used in any integrated campaign should be dictated by the goals and target audiences. Swystun will also share how to take focus away from the industry’s over-use of jargon - such as digital, social, traditional, integrated - and instead put focus on objectives, goals, and tactics that work.

Speaker proposals will be accepted through January 24, 2011. Proposals should be submitted online.

Suggested topics include:

  • New technologies such as QR codes, SMS texting, digital billboards and “smart direct marketing”
  • How to blend new response channels with print to motivate consumer response
  • Ways to automate production, provide real-time metrics, and increase billables
  • Challenges and special considerations regarding social media marketing
  • How the collection and use of data can refine campaigns and impact revenues
  • The Consumer perspective: what consumers are demanding from big brands
  • Augmented reality… or not?
  • Client case studies on merging direct and technology
  • Other recommendations being accepted

All speaker proposals will be considered based on industry representation, professionalism, prior public speaking experience and relevance to session topics. Due to the number of sessions offered and the need for a balanced program, only a limited number of presenters will be accepted. Product specific sessions and sales pitches will not be considered. Proposed presenters will be notified of their acceptance at the end of January 2011.

QuantumDigital will work with selected speakers on all logistical, operational and promotional aspects of the session. Speakers are required to prepare and reproduce presentation materials, including handouts or related materials and topic outlines. QuantumDigital offers a speaker fee, all hotel and travel expenses to keynote speakers only. All hotel and travel expenses are the responsibility of non-keynote speakers.
