"My dad dedicated his life to serving others. From an early age, working with his dad in a hardware store in Michigan, he learned to service their customers. People would come in, buy something, and not know how to use it, so he would actually follow them home and help them with their household project. He continued to serve. He was in the U.S. Army, started a career in politics, where he was a legislator, then finally Lieutenant Governor of Michigan. He created a system while he was working in real estate. He saw the need for a direct mail marketing system that was fast, easy to use and affordable. The company grew well beyond what my dad’s original expectations of it were, thinking it would be a retirement business. From our humble beginnings of just a simple postcard, we’ve invested—using all available technology. We’ve listened to the market, listened to the agents… what their needs are. Basically, making the system smarter. We're excited about the future. I can see in the next 30 years, QuantumDigital being able to assist our customers with all of their direct marketing needs, whether it be for social media, data management, or direct mail—should direct mail still be around 30 years from now. And, of course, we want to keep the process simple and fast. We want to give our customers the gift of time—the time to do the things best done by them personally. We’ve always had the service concept, back in the original days of Damman hardware, to help customers with whatever it took. The WOW Guarantee is simply, the customer will tell us what we need to do to make it right, and we listen. Customer service, for us, needs to be world class customer service. We’re not happy with the status quo, so we do whatever we can to continue to make it world class. As we look back over the last 30 years, and how blessed we’ve been as a company, we know we couldn’t have done it without our valued customers, without listening to our customers, and continuing to better ourselves. My dad and I would often ask the rhetorical question, 'Are we there yet?' So, after looking at us today, you tell us — Are we there yet?" Steve Damman President, CEO QuantumDigital
